touch lives with love

Last year, homeless advocate John Records gave an interview to The Sun Magazine* about his work with homeless women and men. "We can ask for and get help.  Somewhere, somehow there should be love and support for all of us.” These words speak deeply to my heart for I, too, believe that love and support is essential for each and every one of us.

I am a new staff member here at Jubilee Women’s Center, and I am truly grateful to be part of an organization that recognizes and treasures the humanity--as well as the sacredness--of every person who enters the door.  Be that person a resident, a volunteer, a staff member--the care, support, and love is evident.

Each day that I come to work, I am honored to support the lives of Jubilee residents.  I am thrilled to know that the women who have come to Jubilee in times of hardship and desolation do not have to struggle alone.

In his interview with the Sun Magazine, Records noted that we all have the opportunity to make a choice.

He states, “You can change the world from one that is senselessly horrible to one in which there is compassion with your choice about how to live.  You can choose that, to the extent of your ability, the people whose lives touch yours will be treated with love.”

Jubilee Women's Center presents each of us with the amazing opportunity to touch lives with love.
