Jubilee's newest friendly Front Office Volunteer!

Carolyn is one of our team of front office volunteers who are the first point of contact for women in crises contacting Jubilee - offering applications to eligible women, helpful community resources, clothing boutique appointments and more. We asked Carolyn some questions about her experience at Jubilee...

Why volunteer at Jubilee?
I find that as my normal work week falls on everybody else's weekend, my weekdays are a little less lively than I'd like them to be. So with a little extra time, I knew I wanted to do something productive and beneficial, not just for me, but for the community.

What's your favorite part about volunteering at Jubilee?
I've gotta say—hands down—it's everyone's smiles and enthusiasm in the center! There's an air of warmth and nurturance from the staff and volunteers, and its so infectious. You can't help but smile through the shift. Everyone has been super sweet and super friendly!

What advice would you give to a new or potential volunteer?
They could not have found a better organization and cause to volunteer than at Jubilee! The work that Jubilee does for the residents and the community is simply amazing. As for advice, I’d say for volunteers to have an open mind and an open heart because that is what JWC seems to demonstrate day in and day out.
