changes at jubilee

Dear Friends,

It is with mixed feelings that I am writing to let you know that I’ll be transitioning out of my role as Jubilee’s Executive Director on August 1st.  However, I am pleased to announce that I have been accepted onto the Jubilee Board of Directors and will remain committed to Jubilee’s vision.

I have accepted the opportunity to serve as the first Executive Director for the Seattle site of Year Up, a training program for urban young adults, starting in October. This position expands upon my interest in education and my passion for reducing homelessness by preventing poverty in future generations.

Jill Braun, who’s been Jubilee’s Program Director for over two years, will become the Interim Executive Director. Between August 1st and October 15th, I will be working with both board and staff to complete several strategic projects.

Today, Jubilee is in a stronger position than ever, with a dedicated staff and board and clear strategic goals for the future.  I’m sure you’ll be hearing more in the coming weeks about the board’s search for a permanent executive.

My work with Jubilee thus far has been some of the most rewarding work of my career. Every day, Jubilee’s residents make progress toward self-sufficiency, supported by a world-class staff. All of us who are a part of the organization know that our efforts do make a difference - one woman at a time.

Thank you for your involvement with Jubilee. It has been an honor to work with you to carry out Jubilee’s mission. I look forward to continuing our vision in my new role on Jubilee’s Board of Directors.

Sincerely,

Lisa Chin
