learning & technology center

Jubilee’s state-of-the-art Learning and Technology Center (LTC) aims to bridge the “digital divide” that separates those with technology skills (and subsequent employment advantages) from those who have none. The LTC provides on-site computer, employment and life skills training for Jubilee residents and alumnae, as well as other homeless and low-income women in Seattle.
Originally funded by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the LTC is a free resource open to residents and other homeless and low-income women in the community. Computer classes are taught by both staff and skilled volunteers and include: Intro to Computers, MS Word, Excel, Access, QuickBooks and more. Residents can also earn a Microsoft Office Specialist Certification, a credential that will boost her career development and help her earn a living wage.
The LTC also includes the Washington Occupational Information System. This powerful online tool allows our residents to explore various career options.
The LTC is open to low-income and homeless women Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Jubilee is closed on all major holidays. First-time LTC users, please call ahead to schedule an orientation.
