who we are
Since its founding in 1983, Jubilee Women's Center has been improving the lives of women by providing safe, affordable and supportive community housing and a program that helps single women transition out of homelessness and into independent living.
Jubilee operates two housing facilities; Jubilee House and 612. Jubilee House is a renovated former convent on Capitol Hill, providing supportive housing for 27 women. Immediately following the capital renovation, Jubilee purchased the home directly next door to the main facility. This second home, called “612”, serves an additional seven women, expanding Jubilee’s capacity to 34 women.
Over the course of the year, Jubilee serves approximately 50 women through housing and supportive services and an additional 650 women access our referral services, computer lab, workshops and free on-site clothing boutique.
