“At Jubilee Women’s Center…

we focus on unique individuals dealing with complex circumstances.
Our job is to empower women with the time and tools to heal from the past,
to see the possibilities in their future, and to access the
opportunities to make them a reality.”

Learn more about why we care

We support women experiencing
poverty to build stable and
fulfilling futures.

Lack of affordable housing, income inequality, and high costs of living are forcing more women into emergency shelters, tent cities, vehicles, couch surfing, and other unsafe and tenuous living conditions.

Without a living-wage job ($22/hour in Seattle), it is difficult to afford housing. Add the complexities of domestic abuse, addiction, mental or physical health challenges, felony record, debt, or cultural expectations, and a woman can find herself trapped in a cycle of poverty and homelessness.

Matched Savings

Jubilee offers qualifying residents an opportunity to change their financial future. Participants build financial skills like budgeting and saving through training classes in money management, while also identifying a specific goal to save toward. Once their goal is met, Jubilee matches their savings 1:1, up to $2,000.

Matched Savings

“Our matched savings program gives women an incentive to apply what they learn in their money management classes and develop healthy financial habits for life.” -Jubilee Staff
